visites-villa-noailles.jpgThe Villa Noailles gardens were created in 1947 by the Viscount of Noailles. The garden site was chosen for the water source which provided the quantities of water needed to fill the garden’s different canals and fountains, even during the hottest of summers.

The seasons are highlighted in the villa’s gardens by many scented plants. In the winter, the Chimonanitrus spreads its mellow scent. In spring, jasmine and virbunum reign, as do the roses in the summer. In autumn, the fragrant tea olive tree (osmanthus auranticus), with its tiny orange flowers, imbues the garden with the smell of apricots. For botanists, camellias and peonies, in a collection designed by Charles de Noailles, lend a special attraction to the garden. A visit to this paradise will return your mind and heart to unforgettable memories of the past, and this thanks to a very special man whose talent endures far beyond the fashion of his day.
