Founded in the early fifteenth century by the monks of the abbey of Lerins, then given in 1437 to "Good King René" big fan of good food, the estate of Olive Royrie is a garden full of history, a garden of sensory experiences and a gourmet garden.

It reveals its first restanques, dry stone walls, carved by artisans in mason centimeter and that still defy time. It then discovered olives from nearly 500 years. These venerable trees have been carefully tailored to be reborn to life after decades of neglect .. We discover here and there with small bungalows where farmers from the Middle Ages until the early twentieth century, maintained the fruit cultivated cereals between the trees.

Passion_Jardins-royrie2.jpgThe route then takes us to discover the pleasure greedy. The discovery of olive oil begins with understanding what an olive tree, modes of conduct, the size of the harvest. Like when we visit a vineyard, the pleasure of tasting begins very early. The owners respond to all questions, whether as regards health, the Mediterranean diet, agronomy, environment or the production of olive oil

Finally, visitors can enter the basement oil, place on stores and where we put the oil in bottles. Here, we offer the visitor to taste several vintages of oil, make the difference between the fruity green and ripe fruit, and bitter to differentiate Ardence. The meeting ends with a tasting of marriages put oil, mini-courses chosen to marry perfectly with the various oils tasted.
